thus my sorrow creates ur night my hopes ur stars

Mon Oct 6, 2008, 2:36 PM
“Such pale skin, and yet her eyes and hair, so dark, and still so beautiful”. This was the day that the beautiful Amaranox was born. A child so beautiful, with a pouty face, hair so black that it shined a dark blue, and eyes of such magnificent color it was indescribable, any man who looked at her cried for her beauty and any women, out of envy. Aphrodite looked at her beautiful baby girl and thought correctly that she looked nothing like her father, the great Apollo. Amaranox was quite the opposite, she had a radiance that was found nowhere but with her, and as she grew older her beauty seemed to increase.
By the time Amaranox was seventeen she understood that no man could refuse her beauty and she soon fell in love. She watched this handsome young man from a distance longing to belong to him. One day she was walking in the forest and came across a centaur telling the wife of Heracles that his blood would bind him to her forever, and then a thought crossed Amaranox’s mind. If she were to steal some of the centaur’s blood then she could have this man love her. So when no one was near, Amaranox stole some blood and ran home eagerly.
The next day she gave this man a flask of ruby colored wine mixed with the blood Amaranox had stolen, unwilling to disappoint this beautiful woman he drank the wine with not a second thought. Soon he began to scream in agony. His cries of pain became too much and Amaranox soon realized what had happened and though she cried her apologies, he died. Amaranox’s sorrow became too much, and as she sulked the loss of the man she loved, her beauty radiated off of her turning the world the same color as her hair and was plunged into darkness. The Greeks soon thought this darkness would never end, months passed and the Greeks named this time the Eternal Night, after Amaranox.
Soon Zeus was angered by this depressed goddess for turning the world dark that he banished her to the sky forced to share the sky with her father, Apollo. Her sorrow continued an eternity; her tears soon swept the morning grasses and her thoughts turned to wishes, and her wishes turned into stars and so she continues to cry over the lost love and wishes everyday for him to return creating new stars with every unheard wish. And so she creates one special wish every night giving the hopes to the first person to make a wish on the first star she creates every night.
With the loss of one love many new things were created. Amaranox’s hair became the night sky, her tears the morning dew, and her wishes the stars. And though she suffers an eternity of longing her duty is to the sky forever forced to watch others be with the ones they love though she never could be and so she cries.
